North-Kazakhstan oblast
North Kazakhstan region is the northern gateway of the Republic.
North Kazakhstan region was formed on July 29, 1936, in its present borders exists since April 8, 1999. Area of the region is 97, 99 thousand square meters. km., forms 3, 6% of the country. Population by 1 January 2012 is 583, 7 thousand, or 3, 5 % of the total population of the country. The administrative center of the North Kazakhstan region is Petropavlovsk city, that was founded in 1752. Population by 1 January 2012 is 204, 8 thousand people. There are 13 administrative districts: Aiyrtauskiy, Akzharsky, Akkayynsky, G.Musrepov, Esilskii, Zhambylov, Kyzylzharskii, M. Zhumabayev, Mamlyutsky, Tayynshinsky, Timiryazevskiy, Ualikhanovskiy, Shal Akin. There are 204 rural districts, 4 small towns (Bulaevo, Mamliutka, Taiynsha, Sergeevka), 4 urban villages (Smirnovo, Talshik, Enbek, Kishkenekol). The region's territory is bordered by Kostanai, Pavlodar and Akmola regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kurgan, Tyumen, Omsk regions of the Russian Federation. |
